Private Residence

White Plains, NY

White Plains Residence: Westchester, NY    2016

This project was a collaboration between FZAD Architecture + Design's Principal Architect, Frederic Zonsius, and Designer Pamela Zonsius of Firm6 Interior Design. The project was a full kitchen and great room renovation for a private residential client. 

The key focus for this project was to redesign the kitchen, incorporating an open and functional design while creating a vintage feel. Inspiration was pulled from Pixar's film, Ratatouille. This movie takes place in Paris, so there was a French country-side element to the design concept. 

As you can see from the photos of the project, one of the key focus points was the intricate custom millwork, designed to create a consistent movement between both rooms. From floor to ceiling cabinetry, to built in storage and shelving, this kitchen was transformed into an open and bright space, that still provides the functionality of ample storage and space for the client.
