FZAD developed a series of projects with Harry Winston in 2012 to update their Fifth Avenue presence. The main project was the new lighting design of the main saloon in concert with the lighting designer of Cline Bettridge Bernstein Lighting Design Inc. The project was done only at night over a 6 week period all the while the store be kept open each day for business. The old plaster ceiling with the antique ceiling plaster moldings were replaced with a new ceiling and plaster moldings; all done at night. The other projects consisted of new interior show case vitrines, new hardware and a new front door.
For the Holiday lighting, FZAD secured all of the permits for the Christmas holidays self-certifying the applications and created the details to attach the grids into the façade complete with holiday lighting. Future projects include 56th street window replacement, emergency generator, and renovation of Mr. Winston’s original office on the corner of Fifth and 56th street.
