Anna Hu- Haute Joailarie
New York, NY
Typically most architectural firms are sought out merely to transform a space. Due to the caliber and scale of most of FZAD’s clients, this process typically incorporated established branding of the company that would be transformed into a physical shop. We grew accustomed to building upon an already established infrastructure with a style largely dictated by corporate policy. This was seen in FZAD’s client base in the 80’s and 90’s that consisted of Max Mara, Kenneth Cole, Ghurka, Oscar de la Renta and Furla.
Recently, however, the market has shifted. It is no longer an option, but a pre-requisite that the architect of today be well versed in every aspect of creating the corporate image. The globalization of the world’s economies, through the influx of advances in media and technology, has created the need for vertical branding. FZAD is proud to announce Anna Hu, designed and branded by FZAD (including web site, architecture, interiors, packaging and POS), has won the Grand Prize in the Store Category of Stores under 3,000 square feet in 2009. In addition, FZAD was the construction manager for the project with no general contractor.
FZAD is proud to announce that this store was the winner in 2009 of specialty shops of 3,000 square feet and less by ARE and of the millwork and cabinetry millwork for the same project.
